How a transition runs

Seven steps, usually over three to nine months. Most of the time goes into conversations, not drafting.

  1. 01

    Needs and goals

What do the owners, the team and the company need? What must be protected?

  2. 02

    Future ownership

Who holds the votes, who the profit rights, and who guards the set-up?

  3. 03

    Governance and stewards

How stewards are chosen and replaced; what the board looks like.

  4. 04

    Paying out and financing

How current owners and investors are paid, and from what money.

  5. 05

    Incentives

How managers and employees share in success without owning the company.

  6. 06

    Legal implementation

Articles, foundation charter and agreements, drafted by an Estonian lawyer and registered.

  7. 07

    The first year

First steward meeting, first profit decision, first review.

What we don’t doClear boundaries, so you know what to expect.

Legal advice

We are not a law firm. Your articles and agreements are drafted and signed off by a qualified Estonian lawyer — yours, or one from our list.

Selling

We don’t sell financial products or take commissions from the advisers and investors we introduce.

Persuading

Steward ownership doesn’t fit everyone. If it doesn’t fit you, we will say so.

Find your path

Tell us who you are and what you need. We’ll recommend your next step — and if nothing fits, you can talk to us directly.
